  1. This anxiety is suffocating me…If I bring this up with school, I become the
    ‘cause’ of the problem!
  2. How many broken children and parents will it take for the school system to
    change?
  3. I no longer try to fit in! I do what works for us. When the school’s skills,
knowledge and empathy catch up, only then will I have full participation.
And until then, I am ‘that mum’, a badge I now wear with honour and pride.
  4. I was on the verge of a breakdown. We now home school my daughter and
although it has taken us both a while to get over the trauma of school, we
are both in a much better place…
  5. People should stop pretending that this behavior from schools is okay!!
  6. It is this experience that prompted me to do a TEDx Talk..in hopes to impact
    educational system..
  7. Maybe it’s time to get a specialized body/cell involved to fight the case of
    children with autism!
  8. Government should wake up and confront this issue..! It’s a plight not
    addressed so far..
  9. Imagine if all of us, with the experience we have (with our ASD children),
    got together and ran schools..!!
  10. I understand that the school system is under pressure but it’s the child that
will end up harmed and broken and the parents left trying to put all the
    broken pieces together!
  11. This fight could break many children, marriages, and parent as a person..
Soul destroying but the fight has to go on!!
