This mostly happens when they go through a sudden change or extremely stressful situation…

1. Squeeze them…bite them back, yet not so hard…make it fun…

2. My husband catches my son tight whenever he is rude and squeezes and tickles him till his mood changes…

3. I bought chewy tubes for my son.. turns out he has iron deficiency.. We got him supplements and no biting since then..

4. Sensory issues…when he bites, don’t say ‘biting is wrong’… say ‘ bite the chewy tube or toy instead’..

5. I think it is a combination of tiredness and frustration as he’s non verbal and struggles to sleep… As his sleep improves, the biting will stop…

6. Try making some ice cubes with freshly squeezed fruit juices and see if he enjoys the sensation and taste of biting and crunching those…

7. Chewy tube and wrap him up in a blanket the way we do a swaddle on a baby…

8. A damp wash cloth to chew upon, works for our son…
